Dr. Abdulqadir Nashwan(Biography)
Abdulqadir Nashwan is a Director of Nursing for Education and Practice Development at HMGH a member of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar. In 2015, he has been appointed as a Senior Adjunct Instructor at the faculty of nursing at the University of Calgary in Qatar (UCQ). His current research interests include Research Utilization, Evidenced-Based Practice, Clinical Hematology, Medical Oncology, Nursing Informatics, and Cancer Immunotherapy. Mr. Nashwan has published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Blood, BMJ, and Journal of Pediatric Oncology Nursing. In November 2015, he has received Award of Merit for Placing HMC at the Cutting Edge of Cancer Research as a part of Stars of Excellence Program introduced by HMC. In October 2016, Mr. Nashwan has completed a Cancer Biology & Therapeutics (CBT) Program; provided by Harvard Medical School (HMS). Mr. Nashwan has been committed to mentoring and encouraging young clinical investigators throughout his career; he has formally supervised the training of more than a dozen MSc candidates and nursing fellows. His expertise is routinely sought in an advisory capacity both nationally and internationally; he has served as a member of health policy subgroup at ICN Nurse Practitioner/Advance Practice Nursing Network (APNN), also he has served a reviewer for several reputable journals (e.g., Journal of Applied Nursing Research, Asia-Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing, and Journal of Cancer Therapy) and as an editorial board member at the International Journal of Nursing & Hospital Care and Trends in Medicine & Health (TMH).

Dr. Alirio Martinho Belchior has Degree and Diploma in Nursing, had a post Graduate in Continued Care, a certificate in Practice Assessor and supervisor course, Degree in Advancing Renal Course Practice and Ph.D. in applied research in Preventive medicine, Public Health and Surgery from University of Santiago de Compostela. He also attended various seminar, conferences, training in Integrated quality management system and improvement of patient care and safety. He is presently working as the Clinic Manager of Diaverum UK ltd. Clacton Dialysis Unit and registered under the Care Quality Commission. He is the UK Brand Ambassador for EDTNA/ERCA, BRS council member and ANNUK member. He is also the current President and CEO of the World Nurse Association. Alirio does research in nursing science and nephrology. He is also a verified reviewer of the article being published in the Journal of Kidney Care. He has more than 14 years of experience in the field of Nursing. Alirio has held post as Clinic Manager of Fresenius Medical Care in UK and spend over a year doing education and training through Southeast Asia about dialysis, with a commitment to mentoring and encouraging junior members of staff and other allied professionals.He was the Chairman of the Board of a Humanitarian Association of Paramedics and Firefighters back in Portugal for more than 5 years.

Dr. Lee Anne Xippolitos has held multiple nursing leadership positions in her career. Presently, her role at Stony Brook University involves responsibility on the Senior Vice President's team as Dean of the School of Nursing. Dr. Xippolitos received her AS degree in Nursing from Farmingdale College. Her BS and MS degree from Stony Brook University, School of Nursing and has completed her PhD in Nursing at Adelphi University. She is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist as well as a Nurse Practitioner in psychiatric-mental health nursing. She also holds a certification as a Nurse Administrator through the American Nurses Credentialing Board. She is a member of American Association of Colleges of Nursing, American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and New York Organization of Nurse Executives. She is President-Elect for the New York State Council of Deans and has served as their secretary for the last four years. And, she is a charter member and past president of Kappa Gamma Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau, International, the international honor society for nursing. Dr. Xippolitos sits on several Boards. On a national level, she is an active member on the Vizient Nurse Residency Board of Directors. The Vizient Nurse Residency curriculum aims at educating and socializing new nursing graduates into clinical nursing. Dr. Xippolitos provides consultation to the Board regarding curriculum development and analysis of outcome data. On a local level, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Stony Brook University Hospital Nurse Residency program, a CCNE accredited program. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Directors at Farmingdale College, Nassau County Community College and Suffolk County Community College. Her involvement with Suffolk Community College lead to the development of Suffolk-Stony Brook Nursing First. This program is the first nursing joint admission program on Long Island enabling enrolled students to obtain a bachelor's degree in four years through one admission application. Dr. Xippolitos is responsible for more than 1,335 student nurses who are receiving their degrees at Stony Brook University School of Nursing. There are many University projects that involve her time. However, her clinical interests revolve around improving the standard of patient and family centered care through inter-professional education. Currently, there are several research projects in place with the School of Medicine and the School of Dental Medicine aimed at educating nursing, medical and dental students in one forum. Additionally, she works closely with Stony Brook Hospital and acts as an advocate for developing partnerships between faculty and nursing staff that focus on enhancing quality and safety in healthcare. During Dr. Xippolitos' tenure as Dean, the School of Nursing has hosted seven Knowledge Exchanges with Cheju Halla University and the Korean Armed Forces Nursing Academy in South Korea. These exchanges have brought over 60 South Korean nursing students to our country to learn about the American healthcare system. Likewise, Dr. Xippolitos has also been invited to Cheju Halla University to speak about American healthcare as well as present at Cheju Halla University's international conference on problem based learning. Stony Brook University's Global Education program continues to grow in broadening its offering to their students. The School now has placements in Tanzania, South Korea, Peru and Ecuador. Dr. Xippolitos is a nursing leader who has enjoyed the opportunities that her profession has afforded her and looks forward to continuing her work at the University.

He is currently Cleveland Clinic Staff and on the Executive Team of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Ellahham has served, in past, as Chief Quality Officer for SKMC since 2009. In his role, Dr. Ellahham has led the development of a quality and safety program that has been highly successful and visible and has been recognized internationally by a number of awards. Dr. Ellahham is a recognized innovative leader in quality, safety, patient experience, risk management and the use of robust performance improvement in improving healthcare delivery. He serves on a number of US and international committees and advisory bodies. He is the Middle East Regional Chair of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation.Dr. Ellahham is Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by The National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). He is certified in Medical Quality (CMQ) by The American Board of Medical Quality (ABMQ). Cathy Rodgers Ward, PhD, RN, NEA-BC is an experienced nurse executive and researcher and was most recently the Chief Nursing Officer for the past 18 years at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, designated three times as a Magnet facility. Dr. Ward also holds an appointment as clinical faculty in the UCLA School of Nursing. Her research has focused on the effects of nursing leadership on patient outcomes in hospitalized patients. Under Dr. Ward's direction, UCLA achieved high patient satisfaction with overall quality of care ranking above the 90th percentile nationally and nurse satisfaction ranked above the 95th percentile. Dr. Ward has received many awards including the 2017 UCLA Leadership Award, 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, the 2015 Transformational Leadership Award at UCLA, and the United States 2011 Nurseweek National Management Nurse of the Year.
