Nursing Informatics

Nursing informatics is defined as the specialty that integrates the branches of nursing science, computer science and information science. It helps in identifying, collecting, processing, and managing data and information to support nursing practice, administration, education, research and the expansion of nursing knowledge which will help in becoming a registered Nurse. Lot of advancements in information technology has created new roles for nurses emphasizing the need for all nurses to become more knowledgeable about health information concepts and technology that is designed to manage and process information.
